The Wii (No HD, No DVD playback, Smallest HDD I've ever seen it has 512 MB, Stupid controller, and no good graphics as well as games), The PS3 (Expensive, heavy, Blu-Ray, No Dual-Shock, and a very small library compared to Wii and Xbox 360), or the Xbox 360 (Well I have no downs for this system just ups like Xbox Live, Great Library, HD, Media center, Stream music from computer, and the best Controller I've ever seen that's all I'm going to say about it cause there is more than that the perfect gaming machine a must have over all)

The Wii(and not really going to complain about the controller). I know it is meant to be a GAMING system, but we expect more. The graphics are what like PS2 level. As to the PS3 my only real thing is I wouldn't want to pay that price, even if it is worth the price. The 360 is a PS2 CLONE basically in the system's and controller's design. Not complaining, but let's be honest about that. Oh and with the 360 if you want a downside how about the $50 a year for Xbox Live Gold? I know it isn't a lot but still. The PS3's online thing is free, although not as good.

As to Superdork-There's even talk that MS is going to support Blu-ray if it ends up being the winner- look I agree they weren't supportive of HD-DVD. On the other hand supporting Blu-Ray if it wins is just good business. I mean they do offer an external HD-DVD player.

No faults with the 360? Are you kidding me? I can list several faults with the 360 or the Elite. 1. There's no HD-DVD capability. MS said it supports HD-DVD, but when it's time for MS to include it in the 360, it didn't. What kind of support is that? It had a chance to correct that mistake with the Elite, but again, MS said it's an unproven format, so it's out. There's even talk that MS is going to support Blu-ray if it ends up being the winner. 2. There's no HDMI output (Elite exempted). 3. There's no Wi-Fi. Even the Wii has Wi-Fi, and it's only a 250 buck machine. So I don't see why Wi-Fi wasn't included. 4. Charging 50 bucks a year for XBL. Sony and Wii are free.

You do know that the PS3 will be getting the Dual Shock back.

Ever heard of "form fits function?" The Wii doesn't need a hard drive because 1. it doesn't have any demos to download. 2. the games that you can buy from the store takes up very little space. We're talking about games that's like 20, 25 years old. Back then, you can fit quite a lot of games on 512 mb.

I wouldn't call the Wii-mote stupid. Gimmicky, maybe. But definitely not stupid. It does a very good job of what it's supposed to do, and that's to imiate what you see on screen.

The Wii is spectacular when it comes to playing with your friends. The 360 can't match that.

The PS3 may be expensive, but you do get a lot for what you pay. A Blu-ray player, a 60 gb hard drive, a video game machine, internet access, etc. You may not need the Blu-ray player now, but in the future, you're probably going to need it because games are getting bigger and bigger, and that DVD-9 that the 360 uses isn't going to cut it. Lair is already expected to use about 20 gb, and that's a first generation game. So imagine how big 3rd or 4th generation games are going to be. Have fun switching DVDs back and forth when you're playing a game on the 360 while I just sit back and don't have to worry about it cause I'm playing it on a PS3.

Blu-ray is currently winning the next gen war, so if it wins, you're going to be seeing a lot of Blu-ray movies. Guess you're going to have to shell out 200 bucks to get the Blu-ray player for the 360 when MS decides to switch sides.

Xbox is the worst game console out there.

Response to your attack on the guy up a couple.

Xbox has shared memory for it's graphics so how can it be better or even faster? Understand the specs you are reading and referrencing before you assume what they mean.

It takes to years to make a game on blue ray well I hope so. Blue ray has more storage space on the disk. I hope game makers use every inch of the surface of theblue ray disk for graphics and more game levels.

Face it it will cost you more in the long run to even come close to what the ps3 is.

More games the ps3 has more games in true HD not the interlaced knock off.

I own an Xbox 360 -bought last spring and it's noisy and very limited and is more thrown together then thought out. Rush to market.

Xbox ring of death--- How many are being sent back?

All the things you listed the Ps3 does

Xbox Hd 1080 only since Jan 2007--so you have a limited number of 1080p games

You have to pay for Xbox live

Xbox can't surf all over the net and check your yahoo mail or ask question in the answer section -- PS3 and Wii you can.

Xbox nickle and dimes it's owners--

You know you sound like a microsoft employee.

We have been product testing all three systems and Xbox for all the hype really has dooped it's fan base.

Yes Xbox is a good fun system but far from the best.

You guys are all faggoty fanboys. The Wii has graphics like the PS2? Wtf? So true, considering the fact that it has twice the graphical power of the Gamecube, and that was stronger then that of the PS2. Most of these "answers" just deserve a Tl;dr, which is true, I didn't read most of them, but I am sure faggoty Nintendo fanboys want to rant about the PS3's price. Guess what, it's worth it. The Xbox wins for having the most games anyway, so shut it fanboys.

Xbox is the worst!

I had to send mine back twice and all I got back was a refurbished one. I should have just bought a used one to begin with.

sheesh...talk about a ranting grudge...

now before you start bragging on about the 360 having a so called more powerful CPU and whatnot you should learn a few things about the bits and pieces that go into a system and look at the detailed specs of each part...

Rule #1...size doesnt always matter...

in the case of the video RAM and system RAM its isnt always the size of the storage its the speed of the chips and the GPU, thats why a 320MB Nvidia 8800 GTS can beat a 512MB ATI X1950 PRO by miles.

Rule #2...CPU speed isnt everything...

Sure the 360 has 3 custom symmetrical cores but that dont mean squat, it all depends on the instruction sets inside the CPU and the FSB and number of levels of cache and size of each cache level. Thats why a Core 2 Duo outperform the AMD of equivilent speed. The PS3 also has a custom CPU called a Cell Processor which has 6 3.2 GHz Synergistic Processing Elements with a 7th set aside for OS and security features alone. (which in essence is 7 cores due to the way they operate as each SPE can be assigned different tasks by the game or program) so if my maths are right thats 22.4Ghz of processing power

Rule #3...learn the difference between a HDD and flash memory...

The Wii doesnt have a HDD, it has flash memory which creams a HDD in seek and read times

I am an unbiased gamer, I will play on almost any platform as the idea of it is to play the games, I just prefer certain consoles because of the games that they have on them, for example I like Playstations because they have the Kingdom Hearts series but I also like the X-Box as I enjoy the Halo series and Nintendo for Zelda and Super Smash Brothers and the PC for everything else.

As for that so called sales chart, the 360 looks pathetic...it has been out much longer than the PS3 and Wii put together and the Wii has more than half the 360's sales.

as for the selection of games, it takes time for games to come out...you are acting like the PS3, 360 and Wii came out at the same time...the 360 has been out much longer than both which means developers have had more time to release games. So naturaly the Wii and PS3 will have less games but given time they will have as large a range as the 360

Controller wise, both the Wii and PS3 have innovative controllers with motion sensing capabilities, the 360 controller is pretty much the same as the old one but with a button in the middle. The Wiimote is designed around uniqueness...ever notice how each generation of nintendo has an entirely new controller...Sony and Microsoft are slack churning out the same style over and over again. Rumble is also on its way in the PS3 controller anyway. The 360 controller is also rather heavy compared to the Wiimote and the PS3 controller (which is almost weightless without the rumble feature which is how a controller should be...un-noticeable)

As for the disks BluRay has already stormed the market with multitudes of movies set for release over the coming months and games on BluRay wont need to go to multiple disks yet the 360 will have to use multiple dual layer DVD's if it wishes to have as finer textures and extensive gameplay as a BluRay game. I am also yet to see any HD-DVD movies (in Australia...I dunno bout the rest of the world) and there wont be any HD-DVD games as that is not what the external drive does. Microsoft themselves have said that they will switch to BluRay if they see it taking the market edge and that might not be too far away if people dont start putting things on HD-DVD. And what is this about taking 1-2 years to make a BluRay game...total hogwash there...the format of the disk doesnt mean anything when it comes to making a game...it is just a storage medium and has no impact. Its the development tools that determing the time it makes and Sont had admitted that their first set of tools left developers clueless.

Online connectivity is something that still needs fine tuning, it is very insecure in the 360 and can be hacked very easily whereas the PS3 has almost an entire processing element dedicated to it making the security responce very fast and powerful and as for thw Wii...who the hell needs security, what is there to hack in a Wii? Whe Wii has a friends network built into the console so you dont need a computer. You also dont need a console to be made by microsoft to stream music and video and all that...The Wii quite easily streams music and video over the net with its incomplete browser and over a home network. As for the PS3 I havnt tried doing that yet on one as I have only played a friends one.

As for you harping on about the graphics card being better in the 360 you dont know that for sure...the only way to take them out, stick them in a neutral machine (computer) run them in a neutral operating system (Linux or Mac OS X), remove all frame limiting and benchmark them. Seeing as no-one has done that you cant say which one is better as I can guarantee you that if you swapped their graphics cards over they would just fall over.

Definition is another thing you fail to understand, both the 360 and PS3 have the capabilities for 1080p but who needs it...a TV that will display that costs heaps and not many people can afford that. The Wii doesnt have this as Nintendo knows that every household doesnt take a full HD TV so they left it out, its graphics are fine anyway...look at Wii sports, the graphics are so simple yet it has people and families playing it for hours on end which is what a great game is about, playing with your friends and family.

Price...LOOK AT THE WII!!!!!...almost anyone can walk into a general outlet when they are just going into buy a pair of pants or a book or something and they can walk out with a Wii feeling no buyers remorse over the cost...I walked into JB HIFI just to look at it and I thought stuff it, its so cheap I'll just get one anyway. The PS3 just came out not that long ago so the price is still going to hover around its initial price, the 360 again has been out longer so its price has come down already.

Downs on the systems...I can come up with downs for each one (this is from when they forst came out...not to date as that is unfair).

Wii...slow to get everything off the ground (online systems, additional features, much awaited games), smallish storage (but ample for what is required), no DVD playback (yet)

PS3...No rumble feature in the controllers (yet), minimal variety of games, large size, issues with backwards compatibility (region dependent)

360...Inadequate cooling for extended use (over 24 hours), HD-DVD addon is an optional extra with no real use yet, bulky controller (resolved by use of 3rd party ones), small disk capacity means disk changing on large games. No Wi-Fi without buying extras

Now for Pros

Wii...Unique and engaging controller gets you into the game, variety of online features and more easily addable through use of channel system, controller design (expansion port) leaves the controller open to countless modification possibilities, simple and easy designed for use by everyone, key focus on multiplayer gaming and developers who target the younger to medium age group. Virtual console for playing those old retro games, Wi-Fi as stock

PS3...Sony allowed the use of Linux on it almost from the word go opening the doors to homebrew and young developers, BluRay playback as standard (no need to buy extras), interface is an enhavced version of an already establish one (PSP) for easy understanding, has a wide range of developers who will produce games for almost any age group, Wi-Fi as stock

360...easy connectivity to a PC with Vista (which isnt exactly easy), has a range of developers who will produce games aimed at the mature age group, based around media, X-box live arcade for old arcade games

now that you have a clearer idea of the facts and figures you can think about next time you go ranting on about a particular games console, and as an extra you should appologise to Superdork for berrating him with this nonsence and asking him to appologise for his apparent lies. If you wish you may email me and try and have another go but just remember I am the unbiased one who studies all the figures and analyses them
