Is the intercooling fan for the xbox360 a must have?

no, it's not, if you notice it's not a microsoft product, and they don't recomend it at all, i had one, it doesn't help, and why would it? if the thing is going to overheat there is something wrong with it, and an extra fan will only use valuable power the 360 needs, give it more time, they're working on fixing the overheating issues.

No it may not be. I bought mine after Christmas (this previous Christmas) from Best Buy and I've played it hours straight and it hasn't froze or overheated or anything. The overheaing I think only happened on the early xbox 360 models. But if it does happen then just get one! I've also heard of cases of the coolers damaging the 360 so talk to someone at Gmaestop or Best Buy or somethiing before you go get one if your 360 does overheat!

yes they overheat alot. my buddy works at game stop and can stress enough about how many people come in talking about getting the fan cause it overheats.

yes they get hot when u play a lot

I would get it esp if you play a lot. They get hot really quick.
