My Memory stick on my PSP is not working.?

I came home today to play a little of my PSP game. i had finished one level and it told me it could not autosave and i would have to do so manually. thus i tried and it said there was no memory card. i then quit the game and looked at the PSP main menu which also said there was no memory card. i left it alone for 10-20 mins and still no memory card. so i check and sure enough there is a memory card in the PSP. i have taken it out several times and put it back in. anyone know how to fix this or do i just have to buy a new card?

You should format it first just to see if it's an error on the memory card. If after you format it, and the PSP still can't read it, then you need to try another memory stick. If you're still having the same problem, then you have a faulty PSP. If it works, then you have a faulty memory stick.

Try a card from one of your friends to verify that the card is corrupted or not before you spend the money, If the new card does not work you have an issue with your psp.

Maybe the PSP couldn't read the memory stick or its dirty,try blow the chip part of it a few times then see how it works

before you take it back try reformatting it and did you check that is was the right stick cause it needs to be a memory duo stick for it to work in a psp

ether you removed it when you weren't supposed to or there is a corruption in your memory card which means you have to buy a new one. This is probably why your PSP could not recognize the memory stick inserted.
