Are xbox 360 headsets (mics) the same as wireless even though they use wires? By that I mean do they work the same way? I know you have to plug the mic into the controller for it to work but it will still work even when the controllers not plugged in. Does that mean it works like a cell phone and you just plug it in so the xbox recognizes it? Or does it go into the controller and through the xbox? I'm asking because I'd rather not use it if it really does work like a cell phone. I don't want it right next to my head talking on it if it acts as a cell phone and gives off radiation and stimulates brain cell activity. Thanks

PS3 is rumored to be getting a value drop so in case you wait, perhaps you may get the two. in case you had to % one, pass with the PS3. it is going to likely be around until eventually 2012, collectively as there could be a clean Xbox interior the subsequent a million or 2 years. while you're a accepted individual shooter fan, then pass with the 360. The PS3 has extra genres of video games than the 360. Did I point out God of warfare III or super action activity or very final fantasy XIV or Uncharted 2? all of the 360 has is Halo this and Halo that.

It's a microphone and speaker. It won't radiate your head, and a cell phone doesn't have much chance of doing so either. You put the wire in the controller, then the controller sends and receives the signal between the xbox and the headset.
