where can i find the software for my R4?

Question

i bought a R4 for my nintendo ds in china and when i put it into my nds, it didnt have the software in the memory card. i tried to download the most updated version for it, but it still wouldnt work. im to the point where i want to give up. can anyone help me? or is it a bad thing to just buy things in china cause theres a box that keeps popping up saying that it cant read the memory card or something like that. please help!

if it doesn't work check out your r4 box. Also is it a Chinese r4? Try to e-mail the r4 company they will ship you a new one.

Software for your R4 card will depend on which version of the R4 card you have. If you have the regular / original R4 (otherwise known as the R4v2) or the R4 SDHC card, you can get your software from:

You can get both the official and unofficial (but compatible with more games) versions of the R4v2 software here too.



If you're looking for a reliable place to buy real DS cards, I'd recommend www.NDS-Gear.com - mainly because they ship by next day worldwide, but also because they test every single card before sending so you don't get a card that doesn't work. You can also e-mail them questions, even before you buy - and they tend to reply within about a day. Go to the official R4 site and download the Version 1.1.8 kernel http://www.r4ds.cn/download/r4_v1.18_kernel.html



also make sure you have winrar to open the file



then drag it onto your memory card
