The PS3 is more recent technologies at the same time as the PS2's technologies is old ! also PS3 video games are saved on blu-ray dvd discs and the PS2 makes use of common dvd so the PS2 won't be able to play PS3 video games ! No older consoles can play more recent console video games so to illustrate the tremendous Nintendo won't be able to play Wii video games etc etc etc ! some PS3 fashions can play PS2 video games yet no longer any opposite direction round !
