Question:
I'm trying to use my WEP Wi-Fi for my Nintendo DS Lite?

It used to work just fine before and now it just doesn't. My DS searches for an access point and finds my router, mind you, with the correct SSID. I then put in the WEP key and it does a connection test. It then comes up with Error Code: 51099 and says "Unable to find a compatible access point. Confirm SSID settings or move within range of a compatible access point. For help, visit support.nintendo.com." I've done everything the support said to, and to no avail. I'm really frustrated and really just need this right NOW and I won't use it again. Thanks in advance for any help, and please help me fix this issue.

My laptop and Xbox 360 work just fine with my router, also, if that helps.

My internet isn't lousy. It works just fine for everything else but the DS Lite. I have AT&T.

Anyone else have this problem? If so, did you solve it, and how?

Ensure your router is set to MIXED MODE (B and G) or else the DS lite will not connect.

are you really sure it is WEP and not WPA. Try a reboot of the router.

Also the router may have mac filtering - meaning only allowed hardware can connect.

Nintendo DS Game Cards are only compatible with WEP security, and are not compatible with WPA security. ... you cannot play Nintendo DS games online with any system if your network is secured with WPA.
