I have saved up some money and gift cards to buy something big and I am considering a DS. I need to know if it's worth it.

So can you please tell me as much useful info about it as you can? along the lines of...

Price of console and games
Quality
Can it play GB Advance games? (I have heard that it can but I'm not sure)
How soon you think it will be outdated

DS stands for double screen. They both have lights that turn on automatically, so I don't know how the DS is different than DS Lite. You can chat with people within I think its a 2 mile radius, so you usually can't find anyone. Also, if there is someone in a 2 mile radius, you can play a game against them like mario kart. The touch pad is the bottom screen, but you dont actually use it as much as you'd think. Also, what a lot of people dont know unless they have one, is that it has a hole you can blow into that you use for some games such as warioware touched. Some of the games can get really boring though. In some of the games you have to draw stuff, sometimes it doesnt matter what you draw, and sometimes you get really annoyed because you can't draw the right thing. The quality of some games are very good, yet others suck. The thing is 100$ I think, so make sure you saved up enough. Check store prices online. I think it is actually pretty fun, but some of the games may annoy you. I think it wont be outdated too soon, but in 2007 deffinitly(did I spell that right?). And yes, it does have a slot for GBA games and you can choose what screen the GBA game is on. Also, you can choose if its going to be left handed or right handed for touch stuff. That's all I have to say. Hope you enjoy it!

hi the difference between nintendo ds lite and nintendo ds is nintendo ds lite is smaller and has a lighter screen so its kinda the same

EB games has nintendo ds and nintendo ds lites on for $146.00

Big W has there's on for $198.00

Ebay has new nintendo ds's for $0.99 and you get 4+ brand new games! but postage is $39.99 but you have to bid and when you bid lots of other ppl bid and usally they go up to $200

but on ebay that also have nitendo ds lites that have only been used once and ppl put them in packs like well you only get the nintendo console and the little stylus pen when you buy it at exsample eb games) but when you get in a pack on ebay you might get a case for the nintendo some games with it maybe.

And if you get a nintendo ds or lite from a shop

and the shops games for it are $68 dollars

just go on ebay they have there's on for $17.00

and usally no one bids on them.

and ilike the game nintenddogs with the labourdoor on the front

well HOpe this helps!!
yeah , yeah whatever

Can get at Target and Walmart 129.00 no games

Quality wise it seems pretty nice ... screens are very Brite!

I love some of the games ...Elite Beat Agents is the best! Kind of like DDR but with a tapping? New Super Mario Is excellent too. I do not like Brain age or Big brain Academy at all. I Like animal Crossing Wild World all right.

Game cost varies greatly with NONE costing more than $30-$34 dollars most $20 or so on sale.

Yes you can play GBA games though be aware they will stick out a little from the console.

I think it will be fresh for at least 3-4 years.

Fun factor is great ! I use it many times daily,

the console is around £99 but in gamestation you can get a pack for £109.99 including one game and a pack of things to protect it.

The quality i personally think is brilliant. you can play advance games on it but touch screen option isn't available. I think if they carry on with the quality of games that are being produced then it wont be outdated for a while at the moment it stands alone because of the touch screen feature. I think its wicked i have played PSP and this is a lot more fun than that! and get the DS lite much sexier! the games are pretty cheap just make sure to look around

The Nintendo DS is quite a sturdy bit of hardware. I dropped mine at least 10 times and it is still in perfect working order

It can play GBA games and if im not mistaken ( i havent tried it) it can play all the other Gameboy games

It probibly wont be outdated untill at the very least 2010 because the next generation is to be relesed in 2011 and the handhelds are always ahead of schedrule

The nintendo DS is extreamly fun and the games cost 10-40 depending on what brand and the release date
